Georg Simon Ohm was born in 1787 in Erlangen, Germany. Georg came from a Protestant family. His father, Johann Wolfgang Ohm, was a locksmith and his mother, Maria Elizabeth Beck, was the daughter of a tailor. 

Although his parents had not been formally educated, Ohm's father was a remarkable man who had educated himself and was able to give his sons an excellent education through his own teachings.

Ohm's law in 1826  study on electricity then we unfortunately found relationship between electricity electric current and potential difference.


The relationship between potential difference across the conductor and electrical and flowing through it is known as Ohm's law
According to the Ohm's law to potential difference across the conductor in a circuit is directly proportional to the current flowing through the conductor. If remains when it's temperature and other physical condition remains same.

         V ∝  I            .......... (i)

 mathematically verify
Let potential difference across the conductor is V and current flowing through it it the conductor I we get

       

          V ∝  I            .......... (i)

     Or. I ∝ V

          V = RI 

          R = V/I or I = V/R.

Where , R is the constant of proportionality.

R is also Known as Resistance of the conductor.

Note: OHM'S Law is valid only if the temperature of the conductor remains the same.
